Hello there, I'm new and I have a couple of questions. If someone challenges you to a fight or threatens you, would it count as provocation to say something like "you couldn't knock the teeth out of a mosquito" or "I could take you" in any context? Thank you.

From an ethical and "common sense" standpoint, that would be considered provocative. Not sure what the standard for provocation would be in a legal context. "Provocation" has legal implications for triggering self-defence laws. Attacks that are provoked or unprovoked have different legal sequelae.

The easy answer is, don't ever say something stupid like that--defuse the situation instead. The "real" answer, well, you might want to check in with a lawyer.
