First off, ill start by saying im no emotional outcast kid who has been picked on his whole life and is going to bring a shotgun into school and shoot everybody, im pretty much your average person. Not to sound "emo", but I have faced alot of harrasment, "bullying", and enemies. It mostly started in seventh grade when I had the honor and self dignity to stop letting kids insult me and defend myself.
Anyways, lets cut down to the facts, im inspired to write this article because tonight an incident occured when there was 15 kids waiting outside of a restaurant to beat the living shit out of me and I was stuck inside of it, if I went out the back they would have saw me go out the back and the front obviously was not an option...
1) Know what is a winnable situation and what is not..This is a tough one for me and any deceant person. I have a lot of pride and honor, and when somebody discraces me my first reaction is to get my pride back by insulting them right back or if nessecairy fighting back. As much as I wanted to go outside tonight and smack the bastard who called all of his friends after me(And I would destroy him, I am trained in brazilian jiu jitsu as well as american kenpo) I had to realize this situation was not winnable, as there were too many people fighting against me and we would be quickly arrested in the downtown arae if i was to call in a gang of people to combat back.
2)Environment. Be aware of what is around you, and if you are lucky enough to know who your assailants are/will be, use that information to gain your advantage. For example, I was stranded today in a restaurant downtown as previously stated with 15kids waiting outfront. What I did was used my resources. I searched through my girlfriends purse and was lucky enough to find a pair of scissors, underneath the table I smashed them in half creating two knifes, and sharpened one of them with a stone also in my girlfriends purse -> Thus creating a knife instantly. 2 Hours later, they were still waiting, and a knife can only hurt one person and it can easily be reveresed on you and since you just stabbe d someone they will most likely stab you to death, so I sent my girlfriend(Yes, I KNEW my assailants and KNEW they wouldn thit a girl) to the convenient store across the street. I had her purchase Rubbing Alcohol and took restaurant salt. I poured out a bottle of her perfume and replaced it wtih a the new solution(A substitute for mace). So out of thin air I have now armed myself with a knife and mace.
3)Pepper Spray. Do I have to say anything else? Carry a small container of it at all times. Spray, Run, Spray, Run for groups.
4)Fighting a group. I had the benefit of having an extremely smart history teacher in middle school. Who cares right? Well, one of the things he emphasized was war tactics. When ships in the military were out numberedf htey would fight on straits forcing 1 on 1's because the other ships could not fit in. Run to a tight spot, and pull out a weapon, such as a doorway forcing the villians to go 1 on 1 with you.
5)Know a alive martial art. Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Vale Tudo, Boxing. Anyhting that works with live resistence will benefit you.
6)Strike first, strike hard. The first hit is extremely crucial in a full-out fight. I didn't know this until I was hit in the face hard by a kid a year tolder then me and my head tilted sideways and i had a tough time recovering and landing shots becuase o the impaired vsiion. Always hit your opponent first and hit them hard, then continue to hit them with haste, boxers have the saying "Once you flinch you don't see anything else"
7)Dont go to the ground if theres a possibility of multiple attackers. Duh. Once again, know your assailants and use that intel.
Use your brain. If your attacker is bigger then you, you are not going to win trying to box the guy. Hit him in the groin, solar plexis, throat, and other lethal areas, I Highly recommend the Groin.
9)Do not be afraid. This can be achieved through meditaiton of fighting, sparring, and learning to control yourself properly. Meditation? what is this faggot talking about? Haha, well, I have imagined fights so vividly before in my head that I have actually felt the adrenaline running through my veins and the whole deal, through this I have learned to control that adrenaline and channel it properly.
Hope this helped. Ill continue to update. |

Fortunantly for me all the way up till 9th grade I have always been bigger and stronger than most of my peeps, so I have avoided much trouble. I have never been in a fight in my life and am in no martial art, I just use common sense to think out things before they happen for real. As for meditation I do this, you can fell like you are really there and feel the adrenaline rush. I usually do it where I get beat the F*** up and then again when I block/ shield everything and defend myself perfectly.
How did your altercation work out for you? _________________ PK
