I surfed on in and saw little on Crime precention so I thought I might kick things off with a crime prevention "game". I have a quote directly related to the subject.

The police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.
~~Robert Peel

Anyone else got one?

Actually if you look up "Peel's Principles" it's a nice little philosophy of policing that suits liberal democracies rather well. Robert Peel established the municipal police service in London, which is widely considered to be the first "modern" (read: non-paramilitary) police service in the world.

Okay, here's my quote:
"Ossifer, I swear to DRUNK I'm not god!"
"She told me she was 18!"

Keep your family safe in your community by following these tips:
1. Teach children how to reduce their risk of being victims of violent crime. Insist on knowing at all times where your kids are, what they are doing, and who they are with.
2. Get involved. Volunteer to help in community and neighborhood anti-crime and other community improvement efforts. Encourage groups you belong to religious, civic, social to help stop crime.
3. Use common-sense tips to reduce your risk of being a crime victim. Stay in well-lighted, busy areas; travel with a friend if possible; walk in a confident, assured way. Avoid known trouble spots.
