I prefer a gun, but I always carry a knife for general purpose/backup use. Normally it's an older Benchmade "Bali-Song" marked butterfly knife with a 3-1/2 inch "utility blade" - best folding knife I've ever owned. If I'm going someplace where my gun is not permitted, I carry a Cold Steel "Urban Skinner" punch knife. With its single edge and 2-1/2" long, 1-1/2" wide blade, it's legal nearly anywhere, but it's broad enough to take a sharp edge for slashing (and makes gaping wounds when stabbing), and is thick enough to punch through bone if necessary. It's also a bit more difficult to disarm someone with a punch knife. _________________ Enlighten a liberal: shine a flashlight under his rock! |

Knife if held right will scare the pants off an attacker. _________________ www.handyimports.com |
