Well, technically a tactical folder is a martial arts weapon. But if you're talking about swords and nunchaku, there's a good reason why they're regarded as "medieval" weapons. They are just not functional for the modern lifestyle of most people. The only people who carry them are jackass teenagers with inferiority complexes.

Actually where I live more people carry swords than you'd think.

Whereabouts is that? Of course I'm speaking from my own cultural context.

I carry my CCW pistol, and a tactical folder. I also on occasion carry either a 16" or 36" collapsable baton. I also have a variety of canes that I take with me that I made for self defence.
I suppose I would carry one of my swords if any of them were small enough to try to conceal.

And a lot of people there carry swords. On their person. On the street, in their workplaces, on school campuses. Seriously?

Or does the word "carry" have a different meaning in Ohio than the rest of the world?

I carry my OC, .40 or .45 pistol w/ spare mag, tactical folding knife, and tactical light. As far as exotic martial arts weapons go, they are illegal in Virginia.
