The Yaris hatchback is cooler looking and will fit into small parking spots. I'm pretty young so image is important. You just don't wanna be one of those guys who drives a Corolla, you know?
However, the Corolla is a sedan, and therefore has better cargo security when I'm working in the field or camping. It may have a better resale value in proportion to what I pay out, because I can still get a 2006, and they'll go at 2.9% financing. (2006 Yaris are sold out).
There is almost no difference in gas mileage.

The Yaris is too little. The Corolla in our opinion is more mature.

LOL, that was 3.5 years ago. I got the Yaris. Great to manoeuvre and park it in a city like Vancouver.
