Hi, everybody!
Here we're gonna discuss your favourite shotgun models.
What is your favourite shotgun?
What type of shotgun do you prefer for home defense purposes (pump-action, semi-auto...)?
How long do you own the shotgun? |

| For home protection the (USA made) pump-action Mossberg 500 & 590 models can't be beat. Best value too ! 12 gauge all the way. No Compromise. |

Just bought the Winchester 1300 Defender. Havent even shot it yet.
Looking forward to taking the wife and son out in the stix to show em how it's done. To get a feel for how she handles. |

The bottom line is that the saiga-12 is by FAR the best shotgun for any defensive situation.
It is magazine-loaded, making it the fastest reloader in the whole lot.
It also shares the reliabllity of the AK-47, and is available in a 19" barrel, making it more than adequate for tight spaces.
I have seen many pistol grip conversions that make it even more controllable than a shotgun w/o one.
Just my humble opinion......We need to get some company to start importing them again ASAP. |

Agreed with the 12 gauge slugs I tore up about 4 paper targets and cardboard pasted on there man it rips targets APPART the bullets spray and spread out when they hit with force it rips the targets chest open or can do some serious damage man ! _________________ If you know that there is no way out of the situation take matters into your own hands go all out to hurt an attacker |

| Mossberg 500 pump action with 23/4" 00 buck. I've had one beside or under or otherwise near my bed for 16 years. The 1" in 1 yard spread, with the 78 lb recoil make it very predictable and reliable weapon for static or dynamic defense. |

|

My first "real" weapon, moving soon to a rural location, complete with numerous varmints from rats to coyotes, & sometimes "roaming migrant workers" looking for an opportunity to increase their wealth. Last weekend after "stalking a big fat rat" on and off for a couple of hours, I realized the Crossman was not going to do the job after several good hits, so i went to a local gunshop and listened to the advice of the shopkeeper and walked out with a Mossberg 500,12 guage, pump, 18.5 inch barrell general purpose shotgun. I call it my "Window washer", anyways on a serious note, I am a large, male in reasonable shape, my only experience with guns was as an infantryman over 30 years ago, gun safety stays with you if you have your weapon wihin arms reach 24/7 for a year. I would like to teach my girlfriend to handle it ( she is more than willing } after some recent bizzare crimes in our area. Have not even fired it yet, may today. Do you think the kick would be too much for her?
Any helpful comments welcome.
Thanks Don |
